Step up your holiday game: Upcycle P-Cap Box!
At Parapack, we enjoy getting crafty when we have free time and we figured that you are the same way! Some of you have also been setting goals for doing more upcycling in 2023 and we hope this quick and simple upcycle project can get you some tips and motivation going.
IT IS HAPPENING! The holiday has arrived and it is up to us to cope with everything that comes with it. “Use the surge of fear and adrenaline to sharpen your decision-making.” Dwight Schrute, a salesman from the American comedy show, “The Office”, advising his panicking coworkers in an unauthorized fire drill that he had set up to get back at them for falling asleep on his fire drill PowerPoint presentation days prior.
Every time, I go to a store around this time of the year, I can’t stop thinking about this scene from The Office. We’ve all been either focusing on our daily routines or dozing off in front of our screens, then almost out of nowhere the holidays creep up on us in a matter of seconds! Just like Dwight’s fire drill prank!
In this blog post, you will find some inspiration for your holiday by turning a P-Cap Box into a memory capsule. You can either use to decorate your home or gift it to someone that you care for. Why are we doing this? Because it is fun, it gives the P-Cap Box a second life and it only takes a few steps to do!

👋 A couple of notes to add -
Model Making 101: To score your cutting path once or twice before cutting straight through the box at once for the cleanest cut result.
Using a cutting mat is always better and safer. If you don’t have one, you can also use a piece of cardboard from a package box or a flatten cereal box.
Please handle your sharp craft knife with caution.
P-Cap Box is made of recycled cardboard pulp so it is the perfect canvas to paint over and make it look more festive!
The tutorial shows to use Instax photos, but it’s really up to you to put whatever you desire inside memory capsule.
